Is that you Recumbentman
I've had a quick read of it, there are a couple of typo's, but I don't think you should have any trouble getting it through PR

A really interesting glimpse at a huge subject. Well done.
Now, let's get rid of a few typos:
[continents]
[the question 'What is religion?'] Where possible, single quotation marks should be used throughout the Entry.
['What is good?']
[Religious]
[such as yoga. Examples]
[participating in the Hajj, pilgrimage to Mekkah (Mecca) in Islam, or offering puja in Hinduism.]
[conversion]
[As religions develop, their narratives]
[official teachings; within Christianity one could point to the doctrine of the Trinity, and in Islam tawhid (the oneness of God).
[activities]
[limiting]
[dimension]
[organised]
[Orthodox Christianity has produced beautiful icons, and Hinduism (boasts?) awe inspiring mandirs or temples.]
[definition of religion, his]
[ characteristics of a religion, they are]
[quiescence]
[worldviews]
[archetype]
[archetype]
[invisible]
[while] (house rules, okay )
[temporal]
[similar feelings to those described] (you've used 'akin' a few times)
[religious beliefs; the divine right]
[women's sense]
[Women's]
[subjugation]
[1970s and early 1980s]
<'hard wired'> ['hardwired']
[between]
[mainstream acceptance, and in Hinduism]
[our self-perception]
[response]
[source]
A good point to leave it, I think.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Jan 21, 2007
It's written by dystopia with assistance from Recumbentman.

Thanks to Gnomon for the clarification. I don't understand why, when I added Recumbentman to the list of researchers, my id moved to the list of editors. Any suggestions?

Thanks Rudest Elf - there should be a special badge for excellence in proof reading. I have gone through and made the required corrections.

It's so that you can still edit it. When it gets sub-edited, their name will go in the edited space and yours will move to the writing credits.

When this becomes edited, it will be listed as Written by: Recumbentman, dystopia. Your name will be second in the list, because Recumbentman has been around here longer, so he has a lower U number. If you're happy with that, fine. If not, you can remove him from the list of authors and add a CREDIT tag which will put "Additional Research by: Recumbentman" on the entry.

My pleasure, dystopia. [The Entry doesn't seem to have been updated yet, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow for another look.]

I'd be happy with "Additional Researcher" as this is Dystopia's piece. I just made some criticisms and suggestions that Dys has generously incorporated.

By the way, we still need to lose the space before

dystopia,
it looks as if, when you made those corrections, you didn't click on the Update button, so they weren't saved.

Hate that!
About Pinker: Wikipee says "Pinker is most famous for his work - popularised in 'The Language Instinct' (1994) - on how children acquire language". After that I would rate 'How the Mind Works' alongside 'The Blank Slate'. (I notice his name incidentally among a list of self-professed atheists, which goes against my earlier claim in the other thread).

At last! I have made the suggested corrections a second time and this time they appear to have stuck!
I have reworded the intro to Mr Pinker by listing all three of his works. Although he is an avowed atheist, Pinker is less ardent in his atheism than Dawkins who has really got a bee in his bonnet (or should that be mortarboard?)over the whole god thing.
As for the question of the authorship of this entry I am more than happy for Recumbentman's name to appear as a researcher and writer.

Well done, dystopia!
You did miss one, though:
Cults, sects and superstitions mid 1st para: [between]
So, you'll have to do them all again then.

And another -- "rudimentary worldviews not too disimilar" > dissimilar.
I expect quite a few links to other h2g2entries could be inserted. Should this be left to the sub (Rudest Elf having done most of the glitch-hunting)?

An excellent discussion of religion, dystopia!
I think the sub-editor can easily find a few links to go into this. They won't have much else to do.
Now for some picky details:
I don't like the semicolon in the title. This may be first time anybody has done such a thing. I'd prefer a dash, but it is up to you.
In your list of dimensions which starts with "The practical and ritual dimension covers...", between the tag and the tag, you should put at the start of each paragraph and at the end of each paragraph. This will put a "bullet point" symbol in the left margin beside each paragraph. These and are in addition to the and that you already have there.
occuring --> occurring
In contast --> In contrast
transcendant --> transcendent
followers of Marxism, and even some devoted football fans may have experiences -- add a comma after fans
akin but not equal to their god -- add "to" after "akin"
Karl Marx' analysis lead him to conclude -- change lead to led
intiating --> initiating
contibuting --> contributing
The result, according to Weber was significant -- add comma after Weber

Thanks for your identification of the remaining (I hope!) errors.
I have left the title in the hope that it will get through. My only other entry, Christianity; An Introduction, is with the sub-editors at present and thus far I haven't been asked to change the title. I don't get to be a trend setter very often, i.e. never, but I live in hope.

It should surely be a colon, not a semi-colon? Or a dash. And most of the others have dashes, so a dash would probably be better. But not a semi-colon, anyway.
TRiG.
