I came across the term 'rapted' (as an adjective/verb) and I'm not quite sure what it means - can you please enlighten me.

Er, no, sorry, you'll have to give me some context.

Sorry, Achilles, you're quite right! I can't give much context because (I SWEAR this is true and I am not a daytime tv addict!!) it was a snippet of "Neighbours" while o/h flicked channels for lunchtime news. It's possibly (recent) slang usage (amongst 'young people' ... I really try hard to avoid using that term normally because it makes me feel ancient). It was two girls talking about a certain male - it sounded as though he would have been displeased or possibly dumbfounded (I am thinking about a possible connection with 'enraptured').
Is that enough to go on? I Googled briefly and saw a surfing connection, so I thought it MUST be Australian! I also saw some dodgy-looking stuff on the Google page so decided to end my search there and try you instead!

While I'm here, do you know a good site for Australianisms?

Are you thinking of rapt (= enraptured)? That's quite common.

No - 'rapt' is quite common here too (I did make a reference to 'enraptured' earlier)!!
Definitely 'rapted' and I came across it whilst Googling as well.

Don't worry - you don't strike me as a person who uses a lot of slang.
