...for example, I own a paper copy of a reproduction of a globe that previously existed only as an item in a painting. The painting being Hans Holbein's 'The Ambassadors' from 1533. Since only half the globe was visable in the picture, the other half has been effective 'made up' using as a guide a copy of the glode that Holbein is thought to have been cribing from for the painting, namely Magellan's 1522 globe.
It is therefore, a reproduction of an item that has never existed in the real world.
I hope this proves my claim to keeperhood.
