Basil Fawlty's Moustache

Film : The Dish

Subject: Australian involvement in the '69 Lunar Landing (Apollo 11)

Cast : First rate. (Eliza Szonert, hubba hubba splat!)

Director : Rob Sitch.

Pomeranz : Surprised by this one ; a set of 1950's patio furniture, a hat worn by Al Grasby, and a battered old sleeve from an old Master's Apprentices album out of a possible 12.75.

Watson : Excellent, almost cracked it for a tear during this one. With so much crap on at the enemas recently, this is one of the few worthwhile films I have seen for quite some time. See it at your Meryl.

The Jezois

Stratton: I agree.

The Jezois: I went into this knowing that it was Honeysuckle Creek that actually transmitted the first 20 minutes of the lunar landing. Thankfully all that was forgotten as the characters began to develop. Some critics say that the characters where caricatures but I believe they were much more subtle and more importantly, they worked. I have heard that this was concieved and written before The Castle (Working Dog's first foray into celluloid).
Out of 5? 4 pineapple doughnuts.

Must say, I too felt a welling at the corner of my eyes.
