Shall go there now Bluebottle.
I DO prefer the blue goo look, but I also think it's really funny how people react to change. I mean, what if h2g2 had started out as alabaster? Would we have all been moaning if it had've been changed to blue goo?

Me too. I think they're easier to read. Lovely cartoon, btw, Wowbagger. Erik wanted me to tell you that he felt just like the woman here when it changed. (Apparently, he thought I overreacted just a little. )

And add my name to the list of Goo fans. I hated the way that alabastard looked with my page. I am glad that when I commissioned Sporky to re-code my page he made it in the goo fasion. So even in alabasatard you can see it's goo origins. Great toon there wowbagger.

Yup, I did a long time ago. Or whenever it was created.

I'm with you guys. Light type on a dark background suits me just fine. For Gw7en's sake , the woman in this (and other) cartoons is my lovely wife, who only uses the internet for 'practical' reasons - eg sports results, banking and the odd email.
She doesn't know what I see in it .

Great toon, Wowbagger!
I'm also member of the Classic Goo Fan Club; as you can see, I'm the Muse of Classic Goo Fans as well. Redbeard created some wonderful buttons for Classic Goo. Methinks all of us, Classic Goo Fans, should copy and paste them to our spaces!

I like the cartoon, just as I like goo skin. I never like change. I always prefer blue skin. Alabastard is horrid skin. Yuck yuck yuck!

I have.
I reckon the reason we like Goo is because it's traditional, and that's why we find it easier to read- because we're used to it.
However I also think that Goo gives h2g2 an 'atmosphere' of its own, whereas alb*ster makes it seem like every other white-backgrounded site.

I am joining club, BB
Something I hate about alab*stard is what it represents: bland, corporate, capitalist no-one-gives-a-damn-about-the-individual-lets-have-everything-look-the-same look. Not that I spend much time dwelling on that: I never let the skin pass my mind
