Just now...!

Before I actually apply to join I must point out that I am a South African and I use the term 'just now' not in the English English context but rather in the South African English context.
On the African continent, south of the equator that is, 'just now' does NOT mean 'in the immediate past' - it does in fact take on the meaning 'sometime in the near future'. As this time period is indeterminable, it can mean anything from 'when I've finished doing this...' to 'sometime' to 'when I get around to it' all the way to 'never'. This makes the expression most apt for use by South African procrastinators!
You may therefore be under the mistaken impression from my saying 'just now' that I have actually applied for membership. However, as I am presently still very occupied in provisional procrastination on the matter, I can happily say that I'll apply 'just now'....

I'm not quite sure how much of that I followed, but it sounds like good stuff
