Hope u don't mind me dropping in. The flemenco dancers are most impressive. Makes my site look rather amateurish, got some work to do on that front. Have you got spanish/latin blood? Incidentally, how did you manage to get the coloured text?

Hola Zaphod, thanks, and feel free to drop in any time!

No Spanish/Latin blood in me as far as I know, but a lot of fire trying to find a way to express itself!

Coloured text? Well, that's only a small part of the effects you can get with GuideML - but first you'll have to click on the button 'Edit page' on your user page, and choose GuideML and click the 'Change style' button.

I don't know if you're familiar with HTML, so forgive me if this explanation is more basic than need be:

Use this bracket in front of the text you want in a specific colour:

then comes the text, and then you have to end with a closing bracket

Replace X with red, blue, gold, silver or any other colour you can think of - some of them will work, and some of them won't.

This is a very good place to learn more about GuideML:

Sorry, MG, didn't see you while I was searching for the link - welcome!

Just let me know if you have any other questions!

Oh - and one of my friends has more effects on her page than I have - and she's one of the Archangels - here:

i used this code at the beginning of it, after and :

<!-- A:link {color: #FFE1FF;
text-decoration:none}
A:hover { color: #F0FFF0; font-weight: bolder }
A:visited {color: #F0FFF0; text-decoration:none}
A:active { color: #F0FFF0; text-decoration:none}-->

i used a separate to make the little thing at the beginning telling people they must veiw in Goo a different color.

you can find a list of the font colors and codes at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A529715 .

the "A:link {color: #AAAAAA}" bit controls the link colors.

i got all this from Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U110891)
