In the South, we would say "har-ngi" (long 'a') - well, actually, we'd say umukai, but nemmind.
I have to contend with this "FOUR HOURS" bit - I'd leave a feed down that long if it included a whole ox...which isnt usual here.
2 hours- 2half hours max is usual (given rocks, ground temperature, heat/nature of firewood, slack shovel-artists etc.
Anyway, no reira, me noho ora mai ra na Physsher (just about to go put down a taopipi for this first-of-Pipiri titi - hei, miraka e!
