Yep, I'm five today. 
Late in the afternoon on Saturday the 26th of August 2000, I was visiting Altavista's Babelfish translator, and at that time they had a link that said it would tell the origin of the name: http://web.archive.org/web/20000510062604/http://www.babelfish.altavista.com/
I wanted to check if it was the *real* explanation, and it was - it lead to A172685 which has been deleted a long time ago, but which at that time looked something like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20000520084243/www.h2g2.com/A172685
I was hooked at once, and at 18.41.59 GMT (18 minutes to nine, my time), I registered. Of course this was the good old days, so my Userpage wasn't activated immediately. However, it didn't take me long to do, the first version of my page was up 20.06.07 GMT.
