A forum for every homepage in the world!

Think of having a forum attached to all webpages, not just here on h2g2, but everywhere you go on the web. Now you can have just that! smiley - wow

Have a look: http://www.worldforum.dk/en/home.php

(More detailed: It's a big phpBB system, but you never need to find out about that! You access it via a bookmarklet/favelet which at the moment works with most browsers, but unfortunately not with my favourite, Safari. Oh, and it doesn't work for pages using frames. )

So, it's marginally more useful than the chocolate palace that Willy Wonka made for an Indian Rajah. smiley - tongueout

smiley - yikes
But of course I am.
And anyway, the links from Basel are not that simple as they seem to be. Look where the link to Hospitality Club that Sunny posted once, took me. To Holland!

Marginally.

What?! Wait?! A chocolate palace?! That sounds *very* good if you ask me! smiley - drool
(However, I don't know the story smiley - blush)

You hopefully know that frames are *evil* anywhere but on h2g2 (where they of course are the only decent way of reading forums!)

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

More discussion and opinions and flame wars smiley - headhurts That's really not what the world needs smiley - sadface

I really don't like those 'Have your say' sections that the BBC attaches to some of its news pages - they're usually no mmore than a bunch of ill- or misinformed, opinionated people ranting about a subject they really know little about. All it seems to do is to reinforce people's prejudices.

So many forum pages on the web are filled with people who simply don't know how to discuss and debate - their entire vocabulary doesn't seem to go much beyond 'You rock' and 'You suck', and if anyone ever deigns to disagree with what they say, that person gets a torrent of venom and abuse, which is usually returned.

No, I think I'll just stick with h2g2, which is not completely immune from that sort of thing, but it happens very infrequently.

The chocolate palace melted as soon as the next heat wave arrived (very unexpected in idia smiley - biggrin!).
