What I learned today...
Ottox Started conversation Apr 18, 2002
That I shouldn't trust even my best friends.
I thought at least one of them had understood, when I read F72158?thread=173245&post=1865030, but no...
"I was surprised, I was happy for a day..."

Dear, you know full well what I was referring to there--we'd discussed that via email.
As to what sunny and I have been discussing via email--it was supposed to be a very good surprise! (If someone were to tell me what they got you for Christmas, you wouldn't expect me to tell you, would you?) We thought you'd enjoy it! I'm sorry I hurt you. *Please* believe me when I say I did not mean to. *Please* talk to me...
*Please* don't let our friendship be wrecked...

I am _not_ going to post here.
Yes - it seems _one_ of us had understood: Amy
you know _exactly_ what I feel for you.
I'm looking forward to the moment we'll be able to talk or email about this.

how much of a friendship would it be if this would be able to wreck it? you both know how much you value each other.
he can say 'no thank you, I don't want to go' and use it on a new computer.

Amy, since I know what you were referring to, I'm not going to reply here.
sunny, I _said_ that. "Even my best friends". Don't think I would be bothered about this, if you were NOT my friends.

maybe we'll find definitions for 'surprise' and 'dishonesty' we can agree on.
although I'm not planning to do this on a regular basis, mind you ...

"I was surprised, I was happy for a day..."
maybe you should tell us your definition of 'trust' some day.

if you _really_ learned something that day maybe next time when you're confused you could post that you're confused. Instead of posting that you can't trust even your best friends.
Because even your best friends some day might get _too_ hurt to stay open towards you if they risk being shot like this.
But I think that got very clear that day.
It was exactly the contrary of what we wanted to happen. You know that.
If _any_thing good comes from it, that would at least be that.
And I mean open at the heart

With danger of letting everything start all over again:
I haven't said anything, I didn't mean!
I hope that others learned something as well. Mainly that I have feelings too. Thank you.

I do.
Lots of feelings. I prefer the good ones.

'I'm still learning'

'I _never_ said ... anyone ... was
dishonest, I say it's hard to trust ...
There's quite a big difference between this and dishonesty to me.'
there IS indeed!!!
being called dishonest for what I did sure made ME lose my temper about it.
thanks for explaining.

Well, I explained what made me think you had, and I'm guessing the same thing went through sunny's mind that day...

> I don't think it will backfire--it can only help. I know he appreciates honesty above just about anything.
...
> I have the strong feeling that we are similar / close to each other in many ways - being recklessly honest playing a big part in it.
...
---
the postings _are_ about honesty and _not_ about trust as far as I can see.
I'll be glad to be corrected on this though.
---
if I (re-)learned _any_thing by it it's _NOT_ to rely on what you're certain the other means but _ASK_ (well - I _DID_ ask ...) - and maybe even _WAIT_ for a reply.
* still understands herself for having gotten into it as had NO bl... idea about what was happening... *

yeah, ... RIGHT!

oh, well
anybody?
any fresh Mufflewhumps at hand, Amy?
[am logging out _now_ though *waves*]
