Doing up an old guitar

Post 1

Kaz

Hi guys
Just looking for a bit of advice. I've come across an old guitar left down my local dump. I am tempted to do it up and sell it on. But first just wanted to know the typical stuff to look out for in terms of damage, before I even go to the trouble of getting it. I'm presuming the usual stuff like fretboard damage, headstock and peg problems, bridge and the usual superfical marks, scratches etc, but is there anything else that I should really watch out for...? people say that 'for a few quid you can't go wrong'-but if the repair bill is horrendous, what's the point?
any tips?
Kaz
