Fantastic stuff. It's one of those hidden gems of London that is unknown even to most who live here - and it's free! Good to read about the family background and stuff, too.

I hesitate to offer even the smallest correction - but I think (I'm not sure) that the Hogarth series in the enchanting picture room is 'the Election' rather than 'the Rake's Progress'? Or has my memory failed me yet again?

In fact there are two wonderful Hogarth series at the museum, The Rake's Progress AND The Election. The museum is well worth the visit for these paintings alone.
