Last christmas, my cousin Vinny T. Cat came over to stay at the Lair. We made the most of his stay and I even earned a few doughnuts.

Everyday, we would play a game of chess. Whoever lost the game owed a doughnut to the other. After the last game we played (that was the day he was to leave), we counted the number of games each of us had won and lost. I had won more than him. So, he handed me 23 doughuts... though he himself was the winner in 6 games.

How many days did my cousin Vinny spend at the Lair last christmas?

My excuse for today: Suddenly and inexpicably, my browser decided to display everything in the Hub skin, and I was too disorientated to find the top of the postings list.

Actually, the answer is 12 - as there are only 12 days of Christmas.

33 full days.

Plus parts of 2 other days when Vinny arrived and then left.

Marjin, After a long time of procrastination back lurking

At least 35, as the games that ended in a draw are not counted.

The flaw in your logic, GD, is that cats always come and go by night.smiley - biggrin

Well if they are coming and going by night, I presume that they must be sleeping by day. So when the heck do they get to play any chess smiley - huh
