Carrot - but they're wrong. Rabbits have terrible vision, especially near vision - that's why they bob their heads up and down when trying to look at something. But they respond well to movement - they will run away from a plane that you can barely see smiley - smiley
Also, rabbits aren't particularly keen on carrots - they prefer leafy vegetables, like spinach, or curly kale...

Don't feed your bunnies lettuce (maybe just a little as a treat) - it's not good for them. Gives them 'poopy-butt' smiley - yuk

The story about carrots being good for eyesight actually goes back to the Second World War, one of the few vegetables, rich in Vitamin C and not in short supply was the carrot. So the government got a renowned RAF night fighter pilot 'Cats-eyes' Shannon, to make a news reel film saying that his incredible night vision was due to eating lots of carrots... All in an attempt to get the british public to eat more carrots and avoid scurvy...

There's a piece of useless information for you smiley - winkeye

I would like to praise the carrot. Very tasty, very practical (as in not squishy in satchels and lunch packets) and in late summer an admirable alternative to fruit which attracts wasps.

Can be used in sweet dishes (cakes, halva) and savoury - stews etc. and grated into salads for extra crunch, and used as cutlery (e.g. for scooping up cottage cheese and similar).

smiley - blush sorry for being irrelevant.

kelli - ran 2 miles a day for 2012, aiming for the same for 2013

I thought carrots were good for sight because they have lots of vitamin A aka retinol (or something like that) the molecule that goes bendy when struck by light entering the photoreceptors in your eyes - no vitamin A, no bendy molecules, therefore no sight. Eat lots of carrot! I am dragging this from quite far back in my memory so I could be wrong, I have only just had my first smiley - cappuccino of the day so not all neurons are fully functional yet...
