Don't think I'm a vulture for saying this, just because I'd like to use it for UG, but do you think there's any way we could delicately ask the author whether "My Termination" A1104049 could be used for UG?
It sounds like she wants to add more, and I'm not sure if she posted it to AWW with any knowledge of the UG. Maybe she would not want the story shared as front page material.
On the other hand, it's a damn good piece. It has already generated discussion and possibly brought people together. Running it in the UG would only increase those positives, if the author felt okay about it.
Is there any way to delicately broach the possibility to the author, or should we not consider this for UG?

Well, it is certainly not fluffy or cuddly, but it is well written and as the reactions show, also of interest and help.
I think it should be considered for the UG.

I believe Ben is speaking with the author right now. Being very comforting as well 
Here's the problem as I see it- we can't ask her if she wants it in the UG because that's like saying that if she approves, it will definitely get in. Remember that four people have to approve it.
The second problem is that it's not finished, as you mentioned

Sorry, Jodan. You're right. I should have brought up the question on the mailing list, but I wanted to get a second opinion from Ben about whether even suggesting the idea was insensitive. Should have emailed her directly.
I'll go mention it on the mailing list, if no one has brought it up there yet.

My feeling is that if the question is put in the right way, it would not be insensitive. However the author is still going through the experiences, and the UG is very new. I suggest that we let things be for the time being, and ask her in some weeks or months time how she would feel about it being used.
I agree that the entry is appropriate for the UG, if the author agrees to it being used.

I see what you mean about entries pulled by the author. As I said, I suggest that we leave it for a while.
