I see that the BBC have sunk to the lowest of the low in allowing this topic to be accesible to children and adults seeking wholesome BBC material. Once upon a time, the BBC could be held up as wholesome, responsible entertainment but now its just sex sex sex, as are all the other channels. If this wasnt so, then why the hell has asexuality been missed? Maybe cos it's too pure to be a perversion perhaps?

I'm a bit baffled by your complaint. I would understand and sympathize if there was any overtly sexual content or if sexual acts were at any point described. But there's nothing of prurient interest in this entry at all. It's largely historical and cultural in nature. Perhaps I'm overreacting somewhat, but I feel as if I wrote a medically helpful entry on breast cancer and was railed at for discussing breasts.

The term asexual is not included because it is outside the scope of this entry. That said, the subject might deserve its own short entry within the Edited Guide. However, I'm unqualified to write it.

According to Merriam-Webster's online dictionary:

asexual - 1 : lacking sex or functional sex organs
2 a : involving or reproducing by reproductive processes (as cell division, spore formation, fission, or budding) that do not involve the union of individuals or germ cells b : produced by asexual reproduction
3 : devoid of sexuality

I shouldn't worry. Bit of a two-post wonder by the looks of it.
