There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

It's astonishing the things you miss when you're not paying full attention.

I've been a fan of 10cc for more than 40 years, ever since I saw them (the only time I saw them) on the Friday night at Reading in... 1973? No, '74. Any road up.

I knew that before they were 10cc they were Hotlegs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiWu7Csn2HY

I knew that Graham Gouldman had written a handful of the most memorable hits of mid 60s (when he was still a teenager, mark you), such as Look Through Any Window and Bus Stop (The Hollies), For Your Love and Heart Full of Soul (The Yardbirds), No Milk Today (Herman's Hermits) and Pamela Pamela (Wayne Fontana).

I knew that they owned Strawberry Studios in Stockport and that Neil Sedaka had recorded the two albums (Solitaire and The Tra-La Days Are Over) that restarted his career in the early 70s there, and that 10cc were producers/engineers/backing band for those albums.

But I didn't realise until yesterday, when I watched a documentary about 10cc, that the lead singer on both of these songs are the same bloke smiley - doh
