Last night, for the first time since I can't remember when, I managed to go the whole evening without falling asleep on the sofa. Normally I'll doze off, sometimes intentionally, usually not, for anything between 30 minutes and more than three hours. It's very, very frustrating, especially on an evening like the one before last night when I must have drifted off soon after 8pm and didn't wake up until nearly midnight, meaning I wasn't tired enough to go to bed for a couple of hours because I'd just had nearly four hours kip. Luckily I didn't have to go to work next morning. It's a complete waste of an evening.
Any road up. Last night I stayed awake. Around 11.30pm I decided to go to bed. I read for about 15 minutes, set my alarm for 5.50am (because I do have to go to work this morning) and turned the light out.
And woke up around 4.30pm Naturally, I'm going to be so tired this evening I'll probably spend half the evening in the Land of Nod

Drink several pints of tea or beer or something as soon as you get in. Then you'll have to get up and go to the loo, so you don't doze off for so long.

Ugh... my bladder has been waking me up all week.
I wonder if there's been any recent changes in my pituitary.
