I've bought a bottle of the Strange Land Porter and one of Bishopsgate Barely Wine (partly because I love barley wines and partly because Bishopsgate used to be part of my manor, at least work-wise).

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Oh gawd, not again smiley - headhurts

I drank the porter last night. It was delicious, and the carbonation was far smoother than most other American porters, which is as you'd expect for a bottle-conditioned (not force-carbonated) beer. I don't know if I'll be drinking it too often though. It comes in a bomber (22oz bottle), and bombers are always more expensive per oz than 12oz bottles for some reason, and of the three year-round beers I saw on the shelf it was the most expensive - $7.99 as opposed to $5.99 for the saison. I can get a six-pack of 12oz bottles for $7.99. That's 72oz of beer for same price as 22. You ain't got to be Albert Einstein to figure out which is the best deal there smiley - eureka

It is very good though, and I'm keen to try it on draught.
