There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

One other thing.

I just took a shower, and that, together with all that other stuff in this and the other conversation about immersion heaters and baths has made me realise I honestly can't remember the last time I had one. A bath, that is smiley - sadface

American bathtubs are a good two feet shorter than the standard British issue bath, so you can't stretch out in them unless you're very young or very short. If you're an average height adult something's going to be sticking out of the water. If you want to get your chest submerged your knees will be sticking up like a couple of volcanic islands, but if you push them under your chest comes up and it's almost like sitting in a paddling pool, so either way it takes away from the full enjoyment of a soak.

And together with the fact that I'm living in a) a semi-arid area and b) we're going through one of the worst droughts in living memory, pretty much puts baths off the agenda smiley - sadface

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

I can't recall the last time I had a bath... I've always just showered... Though I know a few, people, older than I who still only bath, rather than shower smiley - weird So I think there's been a move away from bathing to showering here in the UK too...I guess your meant to save money, water, energy, etc., by showering... but I'm not sure I do, given for how long I often shower smiley - blushsmiley - divasmiley - angelsmiley - blush

Thinking about it like that, I probably use more water in the course of a week by showering every day, sometimes twice a day, than if I had one bath a week, especially since I take a bit longer to shower because I shave my boat race and my bonce in the shower too.

But the idea of not having a shower first thing in the morning now is quite unthinkable. How did we ever go a full week between baths with nothing more than a quick rub down with a flannel each day smiley - huh

I sure don't remember the world being stinkier than it is today smiley - yuk

Sho - employed again!

I often think that about daily showering, but I just can't get dressed and go out without one, and nor can smiley - chef and the Gruesome Twosome.

As to teleworking - obvs there are jobs where your presence is required and there is a certain amount of trust involved. but in theory my last job at this company could have been done from anywhere since I was moving stuff that I have never ever seen from Korea/China to Turkey. My customers and boss and co-workers were for the most part in Korea or Turkey and the others were on the other side of our vast office so I never saw them (we communicate by phone and email).

My new job within the company can theoretically be done from anywhere but there are parts for which I must be there. I could handle only going twice a week to be honest but they won't have any of it. (would be good today, for example - I'm here at 7:15 because my flipping car won't start and I'm waiting for ADAC to come and give me the bad news)
