There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Which perhaps is why this year I didn't see any and therefore didn't have to haul myself up into the loft, rummage around in all those boxes, put my foot through the ceiling and get covered dust before finding where I'd left 'Loblocks to Halloween anagrams' after I put it away a year ago smiley - biggrin And you can't change your name now - it's too late. You have to have the anagram in place before today. Them's the rules. I didn't make them.

If you try to change your name it'll mean a plague of boils, or seven years bad luck, or being forced to watch X Factor... no, that's too cruel.

And no, since you ask, there's no such thing as Bonfire Night anagrams smiley - nahnah The moment has passed, it's too late.

Baron Grim

I noticed the lack of nick changes, anagramatical or otherwise, this week. I was happy that trend died. I had given thought to changing my nick for TODAY ONLY to Brother Grimm, or maybe Baron Even More Grim or something similar, something obviously recognizable. I was, at first, relieved that the silly nickname, costume thing wasn't repeated this year....

Until I realized NO ONE did it this year (that I noticed)...

Then I related it to how quiet h2g2 has been lately.

I feel divided.

I think we lost a lot of regulars this year. smiley - cry

Gnomon - time to move on

I adopted my Halloween disguise just for the day. At 00:05 this morning, I returned to just plain Gnomon.

I also don't mind it just for the day (a bit like everything else, really - let's not start Christmas just yet, please!!).

It is sad to think that we have lost people. Attrition happens (it's not like I'm really active any more) but it has made the place echo a bit. Unless I'm missing out on a really active forum somewhere.

Sho - employed again!

I changed mine, then changed it back all within yesterday.

I get a bit annoyed with the moaning about it (even though there isn't that much and I do ignore it) because it's a hootoo tradition (along with calling it hootoo and all the Hitchhiker references etc etc) and tradition is sometimes is good.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

I thought I noticed a few yesterday, or perhaps the day before....

It is seeming a bit quiet on here of late... have we lost more peple, or are they just busy, and not posting/online at the moment*? smiley - ermsmiley - grovel A few new faces have seemed to appear, though, in the past few years, but not really entirely replacing the numbers of regular (and irregular) frequent visitors and friends once were in these ere parts smiley - sadface

Sho - employed again!

There seems to be a bit more snarkiness than I like at the mo, or maybe I'm just stressed and grumpy.

I've just started a new, study intensive, course so I should be absent more than I am.

Amy Pawloski, aka 'paper lady'--'Mufflewhump'?!? click here to find out... (ACE)

I anagrammed late on the 30th and through yesterday, but since I've been using the same one for years (and don't change anything from the aka on) I figure I'm pretty recognizablesmiley - winkeye
