In the past few years England Test players have sported a number on their shirt, just below the three lions. It shows where that player is in the count of England Test cricketers since the very first game of Test cricket. Joe Root, for instance, is number 655, and after the current game we're up to 657.
I'm intrigued to see what's going to happen between 665 and 667, which is nine players away. Counting back nine we get to Eoin Morgan who got his cap three seasons ago, so we might have a while to wait
