In the past few weeks I've started seeing Halloween signs going up and Halloween shops opening. It's bloody August! It's more than two months until that ghastly occasion. Can't be long now until the first Halloween anagrams start showing up

Winterval and Festivus just don't have the market share that the big four have. When Target sets aside a section of their store for them, they'll be added.
Actually, I'm sure marketers somewhere are trying to find away to commercialize Labor Day to include house decorations and greeting cards.

Hmm?... I forget because now I'm thinking about the Athol Brose I've been planning on making this year. Last year I was given a bottle of Macallan cask strength. It's not something I would have picked out myself, but I think it might be just perfect for Athol Brose. I've never made any before, but I've had it and it beats the tar out of eggnog.

That's very weird. One of the cocktails I had on Monday night, the ones that didn't get me drunk, was one that my friend invented for the brunch menu which has a handful of breakfast ingredients - maple syrup, juice and egg white - and gin. I can't remember what he named it but we got talking about inventing one along the same lines called All Day Breakfast, and he mentioned that you can infuse gin or vodka with bacon
Watch this space
But, in the meantime, Atholl Brose http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atholl_Brose sounds to me like a Scottish version of an All Day Breakfast cocktail

'The Bloody Best' (32 OZ)
6 oz. Absolut Pepper Vodka mixed with their own spicy Bloody Mary mix. Then they top it with pepperoncinis, jalepenos, tots, steak, a slice of toast, and a hard boiled egg. It's served with a beef straw to drink it from.
EDIT: and Bacon

Also, apparently bleu cheese stuffed olives. I was worried there for a minute because what is a bloody mary without olives? However, I've NEVER thought of garnishing one with TATER TOTS!?
Apparently they serve these in Atlanta.
