They have (the general, infamous, royal ‘they’), refrigerators, microwaves and conventional ovens all to cater to the whims of hungry people throughout the world, but nothing that can change temperature quite like me. If only I could capture whatever it is that shifts so dramatically and transpose it into circuitry and silicon, I would be immortalized (and very, very rich). Hot to cold in 30 seconds, and back again. Happy to sad, awake to asleep..etc. Just think, your ice cubes melt: Pop them in and instant ice. I wish I understood…

I think it has something to do with the fact that you live totally in the moment. You're depressed in one moment, you think of something, the moment changes and you're happy again.
Or...could be your body generates...heat in...pulses that...radiate and...come to a shuddering...halt.
Or something.
