24th july 2000.
This is going to be FUN...Well, actually, it's seems to be a bit serious to me. I have never kept a journal in my life and wonder how open or blunt I could be with this one?
Well, I will be 40 in about 4 months, and have had cause to reflect on life, the universe and everything...and feel I have actually started to grow up..a small bit. It's a sad fact that it has taken nearly all of my adult life to start enjoying it and to be a little more adventurous.
In 16 days, I am going to travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia to celebrate a programme called Lexx. I hate flying and am scared of the plane crashing, but it will be worth it. I hope!!
Will stop here for now. Any thoughts, please do share them.
Later,
Oolan.

*Offers Oolan a large hardback book with the picture of a plane on the front*
Hi! Thought you may appreciate this.. *smiles sweetly*
*The book's title can now be seen: "The World's Greatest Air Disasters"
*Gwennie exits, leaving the echo of an evil laugh and Oolan can be seen shakily pouring herself a hot cup of sweet tea to calm her tattered nerves*

Actually, I was thinking of including a Doug McClure...
Perhaps I ought to change the subject, with today's sad news about the Concorde crash. (I was driving home this afternoon when it was announced on the news, and almost crashed the car as a result!)
Can't think of anything else to talk about now.... *A tumble weed rolls through Gwennie's head*
