I'd like to say anyone can feel free to drop in at our house too as long as they don't mind our little bundel of joy getting under their feet and waking them up any time it feels like it!

Hey Swiv, what you saying gal, OK enough with the phony stuff.
I grew up in Bolingey, am now living in the Rockie mountains of Canada. I went to school in Newquay and truro., moved round for most of my life, and its good to know that someone else from kernow is on line. Tell me more, I miss it, not enough yet that I want to come back, but It holds a dear treasure in my heart none the less. I will be back there in October, Penryn and Trebawith strand, with the boys for a marvelous week of getting re-aquainted with each other, and many beers that I have missed.
If you are going on a GAP plan let me know, I have known many people here in Banff on that programme, and maybe I can help.
As the big DA may say "Don't Panic", in bold friendly letters.

Probably not wise but then, I doubt anyone will actually take me up on my offer and if they did, they don't have the address. I guess if they're really wierd they could find it if they wanted.
We're thinking of going to Cornwall next summer for our hols as we hear it is very good at catering for young children. We'd be grateful if you could suggest places.

which end of cornwall
i live in the far west bit and there's loads of places;
beaches at st ives and hayle
flambards victorian village and theme park, and the poldark mine at helston
goonhilly satellite station down the lizard where they can play with the little satellite dishes and all the phones and internet
the cable and wireless museum at porthcurno where they let you fiddle with the morse code machines
but basically the beach is your best bet

Poldark mine in Helston?
My friend, I think you'll find it is in Wendron!
And don't forget Gweek Seal Sanctuary!

The sign for it is in Helston - and that's how I find it
there's also the sea-life centre at Newquay and all the national trust houses where they do very good cream teas with splits

Yum, cream teas, and REAL Cornish pasties, do both these delicacies still exist. Perranporth is good for families, miles of sand and sea, your choice of hotels, B&B or camping. But I'm biased, I grew up there.

I'll be there in October, first time back in 5 years. We have liver surgeons on call, and am in the process of warning the local publicans, breweries and distilleries, especially the one just over the Tamar, The Plymouth Gin distillery, a shrine to the finest gin inthe worlde

I'll warn my daddy that he might have to pump your stomach for you

Obscure Posted Aug 10, 1999
Why thankyou, I would appreciate it, but I was planning on pumping it the other way, i.e. a pump connected to a keg of beer, connected to my mouth. Or will it be scrumpy, or gin or.............
