I have been doing it for an hour and all i am seeing now is <>//<.?""

The and tags didn't add up or nest properly in the previous TABLE with the error. You shouldn't open more than one without closing one or have an unclosed or even put the outside the .

NB <SMILEY TYPE="SMILEY"/> is supposed to be <SMILEY TYPE="smiley"/> with the name in lower case but that merely stops the image working rather than causing an error.

Problems:

CELLSPACING="1"BGCOLOR="SKYBLUE" > CELLSPACING="1" BGCOLOR="SKYBLUE"

<SMILEY TYPE="SMILEY"/>SMILEY CODES - smileys don't work inside dropdowns, unfortunately. There were a few other things in the dropdown that don't work there, so I moved them just outside it.

was malformed.

Some tables didn't have or tags inside them, potentially causing problems.

One tag was closed with a tag.

I agree that much of the stuff in ITEM-LIST shouldn't have been there and wouldn't work.

It is worth pointing out given the non-fixed-width fonts in these conversations that the problem with the SKYBLUE bit was the lack of a space between the "1" and the following BGCOLOR.

it seems much harder trying to fix someone elses work!
