>> Mudd works with Kirk and his entire crew (the other five) to confuse the androids through cabaret.

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs already checked the OS episodes
"Think it has more of the making of a perfect cup of smiley - tea like Arthur did. They make the control computer and (Norman) confused and to overload by incoherent information. (We could send them 2legs)

They stand next to this control computer a hub ? during their play, norman comes walking in . . .

Also Norman is a single android while all (most) of the others come in numbers.

smiley - runs off to see the animated episode. smiley - cheers"

As Motherlode is outside the Federation, Kirk has no authority to arrest Mudd for the charges of fraud, illegal drug manufacture and swindling, however Spock reveals that Mudd was using a reptilian creature called a Rigelian hypnoid to project an illusion of a beautiful woman under the influence of the crystals make miners think the love potion works.

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs trying to read above sentence.

but this leads to several hours of hatred.

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs listening between the lines
"Although 'Spock' says it is 'payed for with several hours of hatred' I have the impression the other members suffer from what we concider a smiley - hangover. I guess it is because vulcans do have a somewhat different physiology smiley - alienfrown."

Part of the dialogue in 'I Mudd'

deduction discussion by the 'inmates'
'Norman coordinates'
'badges indicate android hive mind in operation'

Kirk: 'we must use wild, insane, irrational illogic aimed right at Norman.'

They start draw 'the attention' of the androids with a 'sick' Mudd
Uhura gets rewarded for punching the by the androids expected ploy
Kirk 'Next we take the Alices through a trip through wonderland'
Drawing their attention with a play near Muds throne.

Spock using binary illogic 'I hate you and I love you because you are identical'

Next to the communications hub they find Norman
Norman 'We are stronger'
Kirk 'No we are stronger and I intend to prove it to you'

...
silly play goes on
Mud 'man wants to be happy, not being trapped in the cogwheels of eternity')
smiley - biggrin {reminds me of smiley - tit}
McCoy and Bones play logical robots demanding suffering and pain
...

Norman 'That is contradictory, it is not logical'

...
Spock 'Logic is a little bird tweeting in the meadow'
...

denouement
Harry 'I lied'
Kirk 'Everything Harry tells you is a lie'
Simple paradox appears fatal for the androids

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs a little biased on some of the quotes
"They "

'They make up a plan to confuse the computer until it grinds to a halt.'
- That sounds like smiley - bleeping Captcha to me.
I've tried to update this entry taking into account what you've said, but alas...

With regards to the paying for love with hours of hatred, although you are right that other crew members, Scotty especially, also get hang-over like symptoms, after the 'Love' stage has worn off, many of the crew show hatred for each other:

M'Ress call's Scotty a fool.
Scotty replies 'Yeah, well, all of a sudden I don't like you much either' back
When Kirk makes a suggestion, Spock replies 'That is an outstandingly stupid idea. I'm sorry.'
Chapel shouts 'You? You'd be the last person I'd choose!' when Spock offers to help her.

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs rereading notes and entry
"I had seen the episode some time ago (and just again for the quotes)

I did not recognise your phrase 'game of 'truth or lie'' as part of the plot, does remind me more of something like a game of 'truth or dare'. While a paradox < A581096 > is what they intended it to be (#'The Lying Cretan') "

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs also not happy (to say the least) with the Captcha
"Take your time the effects seem to wear off over time.

It is stupid, but if waiting some days clear you from it and leaves you able to make changes, that will be it for now.

I will rerun the 'Mudd's Women' OS for now."

Harry Mudd was a balding, chubby conman with a large moustache and much larger criminal record.

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs adding a little to the discription
"Harry Mudd was a balding, chubby conman with a large curly moustache and swindling / swirling criminal record.

I think the facial property of his curly mustache should be mentioned, it is curling upward in all episodes. smiley - smileysmiley - ok

On a complete side track lithium is nowadays mainly used for batteries. (It is a story written before 1966 smiley - wow only the nuclear fusion Deuterium + Lithium >> Helium was known.)
Later episodes of Star Trek used dilithium crystals and even trilithium crystals, these deviations to unpredict/ mask any real technological use. "

You're right – the curly nature of the moustache definitely deserves a mention. As soon as smiley - bleepCaptcha allows me to, I'll update the entry to mention it.smiley - smiley

Although he escaped from gaol and stole a spaceship,

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs searching his archives for the paper stories
"Ah, actually as I read it a gaol seems to be a jail. It is not just another fictional planet (requiring a capital). smiley - hsif comes to the rescue.

I read and learn new (old) words with each entry smiley - cheers"

I've just always spelt it 'gaol', as in Winchester Gaol, Oscar Wilde's 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol' etc.smiley - winkeye
Alas Captcha has descended once more ("Why do I have to complete a CAPTCHA?") so that might be all the editing for now.

I don't think Captcha is a fan of 'Star Trek: The Animated Series'. When I was writing this and only mentioning the Original Series, I didn't have any problems. The instant I discuss the animated show, that's it, non-stop smiley - headhurts. Call me controversial, but I think that the best episodes of the animated series are better than the worst episodes of the original series ('Spock's Brain', 'Turnabout Intruder' etc), so there.smiley - tongueout

Cool old Guy smiley - cogs on top (happy not to be fighting Captcha)
"I agree about some of the animated series beeing better then the actor played episodes.

I have several photo book versions and two cartoon (?) books, none text only books however.

Cpatcha; I could not change a space at one moment, waiting several days, leaving the entry untouched, now I can change it again.

It is a new version of writers block though, forced and complete nonsensical. "
