I like it. I couldn't see any typos. Seems very thorough as well. I particularly liked Jabba the Hutt being called an obese alien slug.

Thanks
I'll get my arse into gear with Mr Guiness, who I;m drinking right now
Did you know that in Star Wars Carrie had to have her boobs taped down when she was wearing the white gown, otherwise she would have bounced quite merrily down the corridors of the Death Star while running from stormtroopers...
Nice one, glad the focus wasn't on Star Wars.

Yes, I knew that, and underwear wasn't allowed because (George Lucas said) your body would swell and you'd be squeezed to death by your own bra, so, it was all for the comfort of the actors...
Obese alien slug, yes, I was in a good mood when I wrote that
Thanks for the reviews, now working on Harrison Ford for me

I've recovered now from the visual imagery of Carrie Fisher joggling bra-free down a staircase

This "hosting the Inaugural Ball" thing - it's a big deal, right? Not a job that would be offered to someone like Russell Brand or Janet Jackson?

"Unfortunately just when we think the gorgeous Jennifer Aniston is going to delight us dressed as a semi-clad sex goddess, she appears in a copy of the original floor-length white gown and headmistress-style wig, which doesn't exactly have the desired effect on Ross."
I watched this episode a few weeks ago and that's not eaxactly how I remember it, so I looked it up on youtube. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4f9plD-JZsw
She comes in wearing a dressing gown with the Leia-bun hairstyle. She takes off the dressing gown to reveal the gold bikini. Ross' lack of reaction is due to the conversation he had earlier with Chandler in which Chandler admitted that during sex an image of his mother pops into his head - which then happens to Ross when Rachel walks in.
I'm not sure about saying she reprised her role as a nun when they were different nuns.
I'm also a bit confused about the feud with Barbra Streisand. If Fisher was joking about sleeping with George Lucas to get the part, why was Streisand angry?
Anyway, good job.

She wasn't joking about sleeping with Lucas, that happened - the joke is that she said it to shut up the gossip that she got the part due to family connections, which I thought was quite funny
<> she's older, Carrie was a previous plus one, Barbra does like to be *in control* I can think of lots of reasons.

The "Friends" episode, yes, I know the whole plot, including the mother-fixation thing. However, I didn't want to write out the full episode, just the parody of Princess Leia. I can add in that Jennifer eventually threw off the gown to reveal the gold bikini, but this isn't an ode to "Friends" - it's Carrie's Entry.

It is quite funny, I just didn't get that she really did sleep with him. The second bit about Streisand makes sense now I know that she really did have a relationship with Lucas.
RE. Friends - I specified the bit about the dressing gown because at I read it as she was wearing the white dress Leia wears in the first film while the fantasy is specificially about the bikini, but the fact that she is wearing the bikini is quite important and I don't think it's particularly clear from what you've got at the moment.

Sorry to be fussy, but I still think it will make more sense if you specify that she did actually go out with George Lucas for a while.

Hi GB . There was a review of 'Wishful Drinking' in today's Daily Mail, in which I found some snippets which you don't mention:
Mum, Debbie Reynolds was the star of 'Singin' in the Rain', the best film musical ever made.
Following her parents' divorce and fathers re-marriage to Liz Taylor, CF saw more of her father on TV than in RL. Her mother was often too busy to pay her nd her brother Todd, much attention. So they would often sneak into her bedroom and sleep on the floor just to be near her, leaving in the morning before she awoke (I find this really )
She's been an AA regular most of her adult life, despite 'falling off the wagon' 5 times (and I 'm not referring to the Automobile Association here! )
Might be worth mentioning that BD is also called 'manic depression', for which she's recently rec'd electroconvulsive shock therapy (ECT) (The reviewer says that the ECT 'has done something to her memory, although it's unclear here whether it's destroyed it or brought it back. Certainly the random nature of the writing suggests someone whose wiring is not quite right) (Did you get this book for , GB .
'The only disclosure is that her mother twice tried to get her off drugs by getting Cary Grant to phone her on the basis that he'd once experimented with LSD under laboratory conditions. Great movie star though he was, as a drugs counsellor he proved a flop'.
'...Fisher's marriage to singer Paul Simon, their 12 year relationship remains a mystery. (Wonder why . Might be worth inserting some of the speculations here
'...revelation that George Lucas' weird theory that weightlessness in space would make your body expand, causing you to be strangled by your bra. In the movie, Fishers (/\) were held in place by masking tape. (This anecdote seems so well known that I think it MUST be included - even though I'll have to for a shower everytime I read it )
with this,
A
