*Having those teenage memories of flake girls*
Everything looks good. Just one small detail. Perhaps a footnote explaining what a Quaker is for those people who might not know.

excellent - perhaps a little explanation (for those of us who have never eaten/seen one ) of what a Snowflake is?
Also, the dipped flake. What about the Ripple? Isn't that a dipped Flake? I seem to remember that maybe the chocolate was the Galaxy chocolate (more luxurious, apparently, than run-of-the-mill Cadbury's chocolate). They were marketed as not dropping crumbs and weren't at all sexy.
(I want a Flake now and you can't get them here )

If I recall correctly, it was a magazine deal, (possibly OK mag but I'm really stretching my memory here) and the tabloids lifted the pics from the mag, so it would be more correct to state:
In 2000 the Snow Flake was launched amid controversy involving Anthea Turner's wedding. When wedding photos of the newly-weds were published in a magazine showing them eating the newly launched Snow Flake.
newly-weds = newlyweds
newly launched = newly-launched
I remember Anthea denying that they'd been paid by Cadbury's to pose with the new chocolate, that they'd been tricked and were never paid. OK, Anthea, we believe you.
Sho - the Snow Flake is a white-chocolate flake wrapped in milk chocolate like the Ripple. I'd call the Ripple a dipped Flake too.

mmm, tasty
Found a few typos -
the 'Flake Girl' averts are among the most memorable of all time.
adverts
and an end of the Flake Girl advets
adverts
it's suggestiveness
its
Canned Carrot
Should it be italicised?
There's an awful lot of the use of the word 'advert(s)', sometimes it jarred on me as I read through - don't know if some rephrasing might be in order?
And isn't there mini-flakes in the Celebration boxes?
All in all, I'm starting to crave - 'scuse me

Oh, and as you've titled it the Erotic Chocolate, perhaps a footnote inferring the act of fellatio? Or is that a bit too naughty?

Xand, I'll be adding a link to Quaker Entry.
Sho, ooopppsss I missed out the description for the Snow Flake D'oh, will add it asap, and make the Dipped clearer.
GB, Anthea's wedding and Snow Flake - as I understand the news-story it's linked to in the Entry, it was The Sun that made a scandal out of the photo. I don't think it was a problem with OK magazine. I'll re-read the news-story, see if I can elaborate a little. I'll sort your other points.
Matt, I'll fix the typos and italicise Canned Carrott and see what I can do about the amount of 'advert(s)'.
I don't think Flake is in boxes of Celebration, but there are fun size Flakes, which I meant to add, will do so.
Oh, as for your suggestion in Post #6, yes, 'a bit too naughty', I'll leave that to the imagination.

Typos etc sorted, the rest will take more time.
Matt, see if the section under 'Flake Girl Television Adverts' Header, which had the most mentions of 'advert(s)' reads better now.

I've never read The Sun so I didn't know that, nor did I click on your link, sorry. I was just saying what I remembered. I don't think it's very good taste to sell your wedding to a magazine, and Anthea & Grant just seemed to take it one step further down the gutter by posing provocatively (a la Matt, above) with the new chocolate bar.
Their protestations afterwards that they weren't promoting the product didn't ring true, but a lot of the bile could have come from the people who disagreed with Grant leaving his wife and three daughters for Anthea in the first place, so you never know.
People in glass houses and all that aside, I don't think the Snow Flake ever recovered from the adverse publicity, nor did Anthea's career.

When I re-write that section I'll include the deal/arrangement with OK magazine, but remember I have to be very careful what, and how I say things so I don't leave the BBC open to libel, as I re-call there was a lot of 'he said, she said, they said' with few actual facts.

Ah, reads much better to me,
I just wondered if it was worth mentioning that in many of the ads, from memory, there was often following the mouthy nibble, an (I hesitate to use the word, but I will) ejacultion - outdoor sprinklers, fountains, champagne bottles and bath taps if I recall.
Ooo, I'm getting all...*ahem* Jeepers.

That champagne bottle does it for me
It's ok Emmily, it's not important in the history of the Flake.
You can say that they posed for the camera with Snow Flake bars in their mouths, which is the picture I saw, but I'd leave out that they were paid to advertise the chocolate, as they've denied that.

I was never going to mention whether or not they were paid for it GB
Hey Matt, does this 'do it' for you

Yep, I'll add a bit more about the adverts.

I can only remember the ad with the woman painting in a field and it started to rain
but I never realised it was rude!

even now I'd probably not get it unless pointed it out
It's taken me years to work out all that stuff in the Herbal Essences ads - only the use of the word Organic gave me a moment
sweet & innocent,that's me
