Be as blunt as possible - I don't regard this as a work of art...

As opposed to Jack Vettriano's work, which is art.
A nice piece, with views from both sides and even the chance to compare him to Hopper (I've actually seen Nighthawks, ya boo sucks , and I like it). You've mis-spelled establishment in the last paragraph but other than that I like this a lot. Where is a Scout when you need one.

Just dropping by to say I really like this entry. As the saying goes, i don't know much about art, but I know what I like.

Only tiny comment - the house style is single inverted commas, not double. see, the entry's that good I can only nitpick.

Good entry - I've been looking at his work online and I think his profile really needs to be raised. A very talented man

Added links to Emin and Hirst, as everyone might not be familiar with them. I have a feeling that it might distract from the article, though - any thoughts?

Tellingly, BBCi Arts has nothing on Vettriano.

I suppose the article is not about them, but you do refer to their work, so its probably only fair to include the links thinks I.

This is a really good entry. I think it's ready to go into the Guide just as it is!

It's a good entry - short but to the point.

I can't really think of much else to say about it. Except that I think Art Critics are vermin (the Futurists called them "useless and dangerous" which I think sums said critics up nicely).

I'm of the opinion that it's not too short at all. Your entry's done more than enough to pique my interest in this fine Scottish artist and the external links to his paintings you've included really help. I had no idea that The Singing Butler was his. There you go...
