h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This is the introduction to a series of Entries on the Netherlands via a link bar at the top. However it is only a Guide Entry, not an EGE (or Approved Entry as we call them now). Can it be approved please?

I think it's just got the wrong link in the bar, there's a A227378 EGE entitled "The Netherlands", shall I change the links in all that project's bars to that one?

Not sure. The others in the series were all written by tdbiii and subbed by Engels42. The one you've found is co-written by both of them plus Snafu, and subbed by Jimi X.

Ah, I quickly updated the Entry A627194 - made it Edited and categorised it.

But then got called away to answer a phone call, before I could make a note here. Let me know what to do, I can make this one unedited - if GB would prefer the other version. Maybe that would be better.

I've a feeling that A627194 was the intended introduction but got owerlooked somehow. Since you've already made the changes Lanza, I suggest we leave it as it is.

But we've now got two Edited Entries on the Netherlands - one a very short one with a linked bar at the top. Surely we should just put the link bar at the top of the longer entry?

My suggestion would be to remove the Further Reading section from A227378 and include the link bar from the other Entries.

This smaller Introduction to the Netherlands Entry appears to have been overlooked because it probably should have been, looking at the content of A227378

It appears it is purely a collation of all the linked Entries, which seems completely superfluous. Plus there's a bit of work to be done in capitalisation and consistency with all these Entries (the Netherlands vs. The Netherlands...).

It should be "the Netherlands" except at the start of a sentence.

Suggest that A627194 needs demoting, as it was created by the sub for this h2g2 University project A562916 as a connecting Entry.

I was not able to curate A567957 as it has problems with the profanity filter, which I really can't be bothered trying to work out. If someone else wants to have a go, feel free.

In fact all these Entries need a thorough overhaul, I don't have time or inclination really.

I have left a message with the original author also. So we can work together on updating these Entries.

I've sorted out the profanity filter problems on that entry.
