I think it's an obscure Staffordshire dialect. Generations of potters would instruct their sagger makers to 'look out them there pots from them kilns'.

I've met Lanzababy in person, and she isn't a sagger.

And so we're back to that wonderful profession from many years ago on BBC TV's 'What's my Line': a sagger-maker's bottom-knocker.
