Gnomon - time to move on

I thought this is OK as it is:

"It is difficult to post something intelligent when you are stone cold sober. When you are inebriated, you should not even log on."

Do you not read it that way?

I prefer the phrase you have suggested. That makes sense to me.

Perhaps I've done too much reading today - and sorry that I missed pasting the A number, and not noticing it was missing in preview.

Don't worry about the A number. It makes it easier for me to hop backwards and forwards between the conversation and entry; that's why I posted it there.

If you in your tired state can mis-read the entry, then it is not clear enough. I'll reword it as I've suggested.

Gnomon - time to move on

For the record, I've changed:

It is difficult enough to post something intelligent while your mind is not altered. If you're in an inebriated, drugged or sleep-deprived state, you should not even log on.

to:

It is difficult enough to post something intelligent when you are stone cold sober. If you're inebriated, drugged or sleep-deprived, you should not even log on.

Thank you Gnomon! That's much clearer.
