Gnomon and I seemed to find some sort of spelling problem in this entry. F1712659?thread=400448&latest=1
'Siddhartha' is the generally accepted spelling of this name, as a Google or encyclopaedia search will show. The entry (for no apparent reason) spells it 'Siddartha' all the way through. 
I propose changing the spelling to 'Siddhartha' throughout the whole entry and adding a Spelling of the name varies due to transliteration. Other versions are Siddharta, Siddartha and Siddhatha..
I hope that's okay.

I must agree with Niwt about the spelling of 'Siddharta'. I did one semester of Asian culture and religions in university (and a year of it in school), and the literature we were given (or dug up for ourselves) consistently spelt it as 'Siddharta Gautama Buddha'. Of course, that's not to say that there aren't any variants around, but 'Siddharta' would be by far the most common. And judging by the way many names were spelt around that time (Suddhodana, Yasodhara etc), I'm inclined to believe the 'dh' more than the 'th' bit.

It's spelled Siddhartha in the Dalai Lama's autobiography, 'Freedom in Exile'.
