why does it get the information wrong?

I looked on my user page, spotted that it said that the last posting was 2 days ago.
this isn't true, as I remembered posting last night.
in fact when I looked at the posting lists, it had one that came up as being posted yesterday.
in fact, I know that my last posting was somewhere between 25 hours ago, and 22 hours ago.
any idea what is going wrong here?

Are you sure you logged in with that name?
Some other things you might want to try are refreshing the page or logging out, then back in. To my knowledge, there isn't any problems with the servers back at the towers...

yes, I am sure that I am loged in as that name, as the only other one I have was the "spare account" set up for me by the stupid post-rupert farsical reinitialisation script.
It shouldn't be a problem with the cookie either.

It's probably the same one as described here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/F48000?thread=261982 Post 9.
