I am sorry not to be able to discuss any more ten pound notes. I have been buying booze as an alternative.

Instead I am going to talk about cricket. I am currently watching the highlights of Eng v Pak on telly and a) it is very scary how a chant that I made up last winter in Johannesburg has JUST CARRIED ON LIKE SOME HIDEOUS BIOCHEMISTRY EXPERIMENT and b) the pitch is looking hideously cracked. Maybe they should get some of that Andie Macdowell cream on it.

Hi there agcB....

Unfortunately it was not one of our more inspired ones, such as "we're fat, we're round, there's ten rands to the pound, Ingerlund!" or the multi-stanza masterwork about Allan Donald that rivals the Epic of Gilgamesh. No.... against a hopeless match background, every time Stewart (our hero) and co. did a 4, we would sing 'Four more to the Ingerlund' as if we were cruising to victory. And this is the chant that has lived on, and it isn't funny anymore, because the cricket chaps have got a lot better. Sort of irritating but not at the same time.

I hope Sweden is treating you well?
