h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Stuff that's gone wrong with the "wine analysis" project so far:

I left a condenser sitting on the workbench. The rubber tubing fell down and then *crash* it's in pieces on the floor.

I dropped the heating mantle on my tray of glass pipettes. *crunch*

I forgot to standardise the iodine so three hours worth of titrations are rendered completely inaccurate.

Even if I do take these inaccuracies into account, it doesn't explain why my results say that my wine has twice the amount of sulphur dioxide than the legal limit.

My friend told me to watch his experiment while he was out of the room. It fell off the desk and covered the floor in a lurid green poisonous liquid.

I've just spent five hours of the past two days at the back of the Physics lab while the lookalike teacher gives me the evil eye as I wait for the distillation to finish.

And I, um, flooded the aformentioned Physics laboratory. Not much, admittedly, but it did fill a box of electronics with water and soak through all the science jotters of a particularly unlucky class of third years.

On the other hand, my parents and little sis are in Prague this weekend so I have the house completely to myself.

Deary I think what you need is a nice break this weekend, sleep all day tomorrow and do sod all on Sunday and you'll be okay...

I reckon it's damn impressive that you managed to flood the lab and cover it it poisonous liquid and there was me thinking that was reserved for muck up day

Hehe, my only response would be...english! Did you really want to spend another year writing essays and reading books like i am?
Stick to chemistry - maybe one day you'll blow up the lab and we'll all get out of school early ^_^

ah, Su that's shockin, u should've said 2 us so we could trash it & get absolutely wrecked at the same time!!!

Maybe that's why I didn't say anything.

Oh, and I'm not known by that name here. Come to think of it, you three are the only people to call me Su anyway...
