A Conversation for Green Tea

How often should one indulge? What I mean is, are there any risks/ benefits associated with having many cups a day, or just one cup every now and then, or is it entirely up to personal taste? "Risks" sounds a little doomsaying- I'm talking about things such as when you drink 7 or 8 cups of black tea in a day and you're likely to develop a splitting headache and be unable to get to sleep... is green tea so caffeine filled?
Of course, if there are any real risks from drinking it too often, please let me know! It's quite well known foe helping to speed up your metabolism, for example, but how much does it speed up? And what are the implications of this (good and bad)?
Also, is there a 'best' time of day in which to drink green tea? For example- can it be effective at helping you wake up in the morning, or winding down at night?
