A Conversation for Roger Taylor of Queen
The Cross in Concert

Went to see The Cross in, I think, 1987 in a grubby little club in Bristol. Was a relatively good gig, but the highlight was Roger singing "I'm in Love with my Car" which sent shivers down my arms.

unfortuinalty I was only 11 in 87, and it wasn't until after freddie died that I liked Queen, I don't even have a cross album, can't seem to find one, but I'm always trying, very trying I told,
One thing I do regret was that a few years ago a local second music shop had some bootleg videos of roger taylor or the cross in consert, at the time I wasn't interested, but now I loved to get it but the shop shut down not long after,
so whats the music like?,

Polished, chunky rock. Very drum-oriented on some tracks, with ballads thrown in. Not what you'd expect. Nothing like Fun in Space.

I susposed thats to be expected, with roger, i love fun in space, particularly no volins, and happiness I liked a lot,
I also read the roger taylor's marrige (well one of them its not an area of his life I'm familar with) lasted for, I think, 24 days.

Didn't he have a video camera stolen (with film inside of Rog and a partner trying to make babies)?

after all this time I have now got the early/pre queen stuff and the three cross albums and rt's strange frontier, all in the same shop, in where he grew up in truro, haven't actually heard them yet though
