So Why The Rining Ears

Hi GWW - I don't know if you've seen any of my entries recently. I went to see Motorhead with the rest of the guys in my band a couple of months ago. On the way I realised I'd forgotten my ear plugs and felt somewhat like a lamb to the slaughter. Found out they were selling them at the cloak room, so bought sufficient for a few of us, with the change I had in my pocket.
Saxon were OK not stupidly loud, I didn't even have to jam the plugs right in. When Motorhead started, I realised what I really needed was a Kidney Belt!!

Hi Bassman, went to see AC/DC last week my ears rang the next day in spite of the ear plugs
but it was a great gig, as usual. We're now looking forward to Jeff Beck next month, a more gentle gig methinks

There are earplugs and then there are earplugs.
Basic foam types aren't as good as the silicone ones and if you've got the money then you can get them made to fit.
I need to get some decent ones again as I've managed to lose the nice ones I picked up at Glastonbury last year courtesy of the Don't Stop The Music charity.

We use silicon earplugs, found em best of all & quite reasonably priced, you could try your local bike repair/accessory shop.

I've found different makes of ear plugs atenuate different frequencies at different rates - which is great, but you just have to remember which is which - if you play in a band.
I'm off to see Seal (6th time) at the NIA at the end of June, then Spinal Tap at Wembley the week after + Download (Whitesnake, then Def Leppard Headlining) whenever it is.... middle of June, so busy time coming up!
