Hello everyone
i know i've neglected h2g2 a lot over the last...what, year and a half? and although i'm still an internet addict, somehow h2g2 doesn't have the same attraction that it used to...
i'm still in touch with people i've met here, but for those of you i haven't spoken to, here's what i'm up to:
i'm very much enjoying being at university in newcastle, studying french, spanish and film studies, which is sort of a side-line to my social life...a bit odd, cos i never really had one before
i'm very much involved in the uni rock soc (rock music not rock rocks) and hoping to be on the exec committee next year...so, that's where i've made most of my friends (no *boy*friends...yet...i'm just gonna wait and see )
i also get on really well with most of my flatmates and everything's groovy
i have developed a strong love for shiny things, and things that glow, and also anything pink...i have too much pink...dammit...
i'm still an internet addict but generally on msn, deviantart and the rock soc website which isn't working very well at the moment...stoopid uni servers...
hmm, and i like dancing with glowsticks...there's a fantastic night here in newcastle, every fortnight called fight the robots...i've been to the last 4 or 5, you can see photos and stuff here: www.fighttherobots.co.uk
there's another one tonight, yippee!
ummm...
ooh, i'm going to japan again a week tomorrow! my brother's working out there, and my parents are going, so lucky little me gets to go too
and...last night i dyed my hair blue
well
it's more indigo, or dark purple or something...and it's not so blue on top cos i used some red dye too...
right, i think that just about sums up my life right now...
hope everyone's ok and having fun and everything

I hope you're all better before your trip to ...Japan??? You lucky girl!!!!
Shiny things...
Things that glow...
(is my trying to tempt you to stay a while longer working?)
It's GREAT to see your little cat ears pop up in my message centre and even better to know you have a social life, much better than living your life via a keyboard & monitornot good for a the skin or finding a boyfriend, unless you find one on hootoo of course!!(and who hasn't?)*waves to D*
University in Newcastle...we (my daughter & her son and Andrew & me) were there last summer - not the Uni but Alnwyck Castle where Harry Potter was filmed...I enjoyed the driveand Andrew enjoyed dressing up as H.P. he even fooled some Japanese students who squealed with delight and wanted their photos taken with him
We even posed at the Angel of the North on the way home...
How long are you going to be in Japan??

And I don't come back here often enough to see that you'd posted.
Got any good plans for the summer? And how was meeting the volcano?
