just got to say i agree with you on your comments about the departed [what film have you just seen] i don't understand why that film was SO acclaimed
i thought pans labyrinth left it standing...

As I mention elsewhere, the acting was good. However, ultimately the film didn't work for me. I understand from reading elsewhere on the 'Net (after seeing the film) that this was a remake of a film called 'Internal Affairs' (I think), which apparently had a better rendition of the story, though may not have been a perfect film either.

hhmmnn internal affairs.. is that the one with richard gere as the bad cop??? i saw that some years back and i'd say it was better.. the problem is the assumption that due to so many excellent actors the film must also be excellent, which is not always the case...
again i'd agree that the acting was very good.. but i just lost interest in it...certainly no where near one of my personal best films of the year...
