That's a pretty good description of my gaming persona.
I don't know how many guilds I've been a member of, how many I've been kicked out of due to inactivity, and how many I'm still a member of.
See, I tend to play pretty intensely. I live on my own, meaning I have plenty of spare time (except for my full time job).
At least I'll stick with one game at the time, play it like crazy, grow fed up, discard it for half a year or more.
Sometimes I even take a break from gaming. Entirely.
And then switch to another game.
I'm glad I uninstalled World of Warcraft - that game had become too inhabited by foul-mouthed spoiled-rotten kids who ruined all the fun.
Currently, I'm playing Lord of the Rings Online. One of my characters recently got invited into a guild, but I made sure to warn the guild leader that I might not be online much in a very near future.
See, I've been playing LotRO almost all autumn. I'm currently aiming att getting all my alts a festival steed (the Yuletide festival).
Recently, I had a sneak peek at some of the videos I'd recorded from Oblivion. I love the music, and I remember enjoying playing it.
Or maybe Skyrim - there are still unexplored areas on the map.
Or Rift. I really owe an apology to the nice guildies over there. Last time I checked, I was still a guild member.

"I live on my own, meaning I have plenty of spare time (except for my full time job)."
I wish I knew your secret. I also live on my own but I never seem to have much time spare. I always feel as if time is running away from me.
The only game I've ever gotten absorbed with for any length of time is the Sims, and to be honest that was more on the creating the sim/decorating their house side. Once they were up and running I got bored quite quickly (it takes so long to have them go to the toilet or eat some cereal!).
My hand/eye co-ordination isn't good enough for real-time game playing. I'd end up standing in the middle of a field until I was killed or something

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky. Posted Jan 1, 2014
My son has been after a PS3 (not a 4, a 3) since he played Little Big Planet at a friends house. He's been saving up his money and was almost there. Guess what we got him for Christmas? His money can now go on games for any of his consoles and in fact he 'Pokemon Y' for his 3DS (that he *did* pay for that console).
I feel very unfaithful to my darling Xbox, but, PS3 has so many beautiful RPGs (we've bought the odd one or three or four already )
I'm currently playing Heavy Rain and try to remember that 'X' (on the PS controller) is 'A' (an the Xbox controller) and 'Triangle is 'Y' It's been years since I played on a PS2 and I've forgotten where each button is. I'll get there soon, but this game was probably not the best one to start with...even though it was one of the main reasons *I* wanted a PS3 I'll need to play through it again a few times anyway so as not to get injured during dream sequences and in little grocery stores.
Happy New Gaming, Ti.

Thanks Mags, you too.
I've been very careful to stay away from any other gaming platforms other than my PC - otherwise I'm afraid I'd be spending even more time gaming than I already am
Mind you, once I had finished downloading Skyrim on 11.11.11 I got up one hour earlier each work day morning just to be able to play some more. Did I go to bed 1 hour earlier to make up for it? No.
