I especially like the literature prize for the report "Consequences of Erudite Vernacular Utilized Irrespective of Necessity: Problems with Using Long Words Needlessly."
There are some winners where, after you've thought a bit, you are able to come up with practical uses - but when it comes to some, I'm stumped

They are absolutely the highlight of the scientific year! I'm almost tempted to read the hiccups ones to find out why on Earth that would work. And the title of the Lit. one did make me chuckle. The abstract is worth looking at as well, but I don't think I can justify getting hold of the ful article, interesting though it sounds.
