I do wish that the BBC News section wouldn't keep replacing certain pages with new versions, rather than creating new pages - is that too much trouble to ask?
So I gave a link to the Swedish Foreign Minister having been stabbed with a knife, doctors trying to save her life - and next time I load that page it has been replaced with a completely different article announcing her death.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3098834.stm
Same link, same URL, but different content compared to what I saw when I first checked it...
These pictures describe her rather well:

And this is a very sad but also true description of what we may expect from the future:

Now - I don't mind the BBC updating their news - but how on am I supposed to know where to find the *original* article/s?

I hate when they do that
I've noticed other news type sites do that, too. Possibly they fail to comprehend how the 'net works, and that a web page actually takes up very little room, if one discounts the graphics...
They should at least archive and index the original pages.

I heard on the radio tonight that the Anna Lindh murder weapon is to be forensically examined in Birmingham this week. Apparently they have some of the most sensitive forensic equipment in the world there, and will be looking for minute dna tracings.

Yes, I heard that too - and that they had found dna on the cap left behind. A pity that the Swedish dna register is still so small - I think it just contains 2 500 items

The police have arrested a man that they believe to be the man on the security camera tapes - press conference will be held in ½ hour...

It seems they've got the right man
Upper class (or would like to be, very good at articulating himself) detests working class - a possible motive
Emotionally unbalanced, narcissistic, violent - but not a madman, according to psychiatrists
Has previously committed several minor crimes, some of them including violence, some of them some kind of fraud

Are you alright, Kristina?
I watched the Memorial for Anna today
What a great loss for your country.

I'm fine - I guess mostly because I've refused to take in a lot of the media reports, speculating wildly...
It *is* a pity that Anna was the one - I would much rather see someone assassaniting(sp?) Göran Persson... but then, that's a whole other story...

I wish those with the urge to kill would simply off themselves first, and save everyone else a whole lot of grief.
