I was standing there
on the platform
waiting for the commuter train
warming myself in a spot of sunshine

The beginning of autumn
Clear but cold day
The sun already rising lower
Geese honking, starting to move south

With my eyes half closed
A sudden rainbow
The sunshine caught in a water drop
hanging from an eye lash, shimmering

Trying to hold still
Admiring the colours
One of mother nature's little wonders
erly in a cold autumn morning

Such moments are a good and vital part of making life halfway decent, aren't they...

Yes, it's those small things that make life worth living! But it was really difficult to hold my eye lid still once I had discovered the rainbow - and I think I must have looked a bit funny looking all cross-eyed trying to focus on the water drop - with both eyes!

I love those moments.

One spring morning I woke early and went down to make . As I pulled up the blind over the kitchen window there was a lovely sight that boosted me for the whole day.

The cherry tree on the green across the road was in full bloom and the dew was hanging off the blossoms, the sun was shining through them, creating myriads of diamonds.

Ooo... that reminds me that I need to update my photo site - I keep starting on it, but right now I'm making a site map because I'm beginning to lose track of how many files and folders I have...

It might be a while before I get to that point on my 'to do' list - first I really need to finish next episode of The Dark Times for this week's *What was that wooshing sound? A deadline?*

...and the Harvest Festival starts this weeekend, I need to get the stalls and beer tent up and running...

...and then I really should try to pull myself together enough to finally finish my university project on Kalevala...

Oh - I need to make an add to put up on the Noticeboard about the festival! *scribbles busily on note pad*
