These days, I hover over the Entropia Forum postings just as eagerly as I hover over my h2g2 pop-up window (wishing that EF could have that kind of gadget).
Damn, this game is addictive - but I do like it a lot!

You know that you're addicted to Project Entropia when:
You set the alarm for 4.50 am on your day off because there is this item in the auction that you just *have* to have! (It was an advanced model of a mining tool.)
You start a gaming journal at the Entropia forum, and start sharing RL stuff with other players too - and have had 945 people reading your journal by now!

Well, after 4 months of playing, I'm still very much into Project Entropia.
I got some cool pics from a recent beacon mission, but since the links won't work for everyone, I'll give you a description of where to find it instead:
Go to http://www.entropiaforum.com
Click on 'Forums' to the left in the the top panel.
Under header 'About Project-Entropia' click on subheader 'Diaries'.
You'll see a thread titled 'Flame Dancer's Diary' - if you click on the green arrow to the right, it'll take you to the latest posting I've made, with pics.

Let's see if this link works. I bought a flight ticket to CND (Club NeverDie) - it's a space station:

The 4th picture is my favourite print screen from Entropia so far (view it in full screen to get the full beauty of it) - I'm thinking of using that pic as my desktop background...

Latest info about the Entropia Universe (as it's now called):

Not sure if the New York Times link will work - it worked for me the first time I clicked it, but not any more... now it wants me to log in before I can view it.
If you can't read it either, the text has been copied and pasted here:

In my opinion, Mr. Welter is just asking for trouble when saying this (second to last paragraph):
"He said that MindArk had never been asked about the game by the Internal Revenue Service or United States law-enforcement agencies."
Not sure if I like this development - we already have too many people signing up with the intention of making easy money rather than playing - and no matter how many times experienced players say that there *is* no easy way, they keep popping up. This publicity will probably only increase the number of money-grabbers...

Isn't it odd how RL creeps into your VL? I've seen examples of that on h2g2 and now I'm beginning to see the same things ingame (game=Entropia).
Well... *twiddles thumbs* ... let's hope this guy isn't quite as hopeless as he sounds (former soc leader returned expecting his position back).

One of my Entropia avatars is also the society shop keeper - and lately, members have complaining that she hasn't been online much - which confuses the out me!
Friday: logged on at (ingame time) 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00
Result: saw one soc member online
Saturday: logged on twice, only saw a former soc member online
Sunday: logged on twice, the second time I finally saw one (1) other soc member online, who logged off before I did
So I've been online Friday, Saturday and Sunday - and have yet to see any of the complaining people online. Now, those complaining are Europeans, just like me, so I don't see how we could possibly be online at completey different times!
It's a mystery - at least to me...
