Congratulations Kelli!!1
I never knew so much could be written about the humble radish!!
As a child on Sundays we always started our Sunday lunch with Hors d'Oeuvres, one of my tasks was to prepare the radishes for table. I used to
1. Wash the radishes well
2 Cut the green tops to a uniform length and remove all the yellow and damaged leaves.
3. Slice the ouside red skin of the radish down in a sort of diamond shape so that the radish looked very attractive.
4 Arrange the prepared radishes on a pretty bowl to be served with buttered bread/
We also used to have stuffed hardboiled eggs- which it was also my task to prepare. And lots of other goodies. My Feench parents really prepared us well for a lifetime of happy eating!!
I still love radishes - but sadly have much more difficulty eating them because of the teeth!! Or rather lack of!!
Much affection

Thanks Christiane My mum used to do them with diamond cuts too- I'm too lazy though
Perhaps you could try steaming them - they'd be a bit softer then

Hi,
It will depend on thr sort of radish you have planted - did it give you any idea on the seed packet for how long they take to be ready to harvest?
If you have no idea then I'd give it another week or so and pull one up - you cant really tell with most varieties just by looking at what is above the ground.
Good luck!
